Her storytelling skills stem from her love of animals and helping others. From childhood, her family welcomed guide dogs to help her blind brother, Patrice loved seeing-eye dogs.

Patrice has shown her adaptability in both for-profit and non-profit sectors. She is active in the community, serving on boards and commissions to promote her causes. She also serves on the board of Bloom Academy, a Las Vegas special needs micro-school. She encourages student pride and individualized education during this time.

Mother Patrice enjoys the benefits of having children. She lives with Abner and Babe, two beloved strays. Patrice writes to promote empathy and the special bond between humans and animals.
